Ava Camilo is a Boise based performing cellist and cello instructor. She has played with a variety of orchestral and chamber music groups across the Northwest, including the Boise Philharmonic, Candlelight Concerts, Boulder Chamber Orchestra, Disney PRIDE in Concert, and the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

Ava holds a Master of Music degree in cello performance and Suzuki pedagogy certificate from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, and a Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance from Boise State University. She also attributes musical growth to her fellowship position at Marrowstone Music Festival and two intensive summers spent at the International Cello Institute.

Ava is a multi-genre instrumentalist, having diversified her playing through the use of both acoustic and electric cellos. Some of her favorite places to perform have been the Bluebird and Oriental Theaters, the Denver Art Museum, and at 12,000 ft. elevation in the breathtaking Governor Basin. Outside of music she enjoys yoga, reading, crochet, and cozy video games. Ava teaches privately at Treasure Valley Arts in Meridian (1530 W. State St. Meridian, ID 83642), and is an orchestra assistant at several Boise Schools.
